What is Chiropractic?


The development of Chiropractic as a specific healing art and science dates back to 1895, although records of manipulation as therapy date back centuries.  As a school Chiropractic may be defined in general terms as the diagnosis of neuro-musculoskeletal disorders treated by hand.  It is a drugless, non-surgical approach to treatment and healing.
 

A Doctor of Chiropractic (DC) is concerned with the relationship between structure and function as it relates to the spine, nervous system, organs, and tissues of the human body.
 

In just over 100 years, Chiropractic has developed int a recognized health care profession.  Chiropractic is defined and regulated in all 50 states, and around the world.
